I’m saturated in blood
Wounds from flags of hatred, injustice
I bear shreds of clothing
Patches corrupting uniform gash
The earth beats underneath motionless corpses
Until they too become the earth
I fight and struggle for liberty
Though culmination incomplete
You may see me repulse
But I stand in fearless veracity
Like a drying river
I lack the strength to detonate
I accept each lotus with the once unthinkable
Hope - for another dive into the water
As I attempt to stand once more
Innocence commence anew
You may fret that I fall
But I inhale then smile, unsullied
You may see me in despair
But I stand still in solid dignity
If you bluntly dispatch pity with tears
Then you have forgotten what I haven’t lost
Like a crawling enfant
I longingly obtain contented virtue
So do not shed a drop of that fretful tear
For I, with scars
Unearth to carry on
In the name of sheer nobility.
